Gliga violins are made from the very woods that the great masters made their stringed instruments so many years ago. Harvested from the Italian Valley of Transylvania, the unique Carpathian spruce and flamed maples woods are carefully selected for their color, tonality and rich grains that make each Gliga viola, violin and cello an instrument worthy of the first chair in any orchestra. But the use of these fine woods are only part of the story because the highly trained master luthiers of the Gliga family of artisans still employ the ancient techniques in crafting new violins that are inspired by the designs of the greats like Guarnerius and Stradivarius.
